Heart of JKMG. Heart of Us.
A Tribute to Julia Kay Miller

Julia Kay Miller (1959-2023)
Founding partner. Heart of JKMG Certified Force of Nature.

"Every great company needs a founder you'd absolutely want to have a glass of wine with.
JKMG was lucky enough to have Julia K. Miller."

Julia was unforgettable--not because she tried to be, but because she simply was.

She built JKMG the same way she built her life -- with guts, grace, fierce love, and just the right touch of wink-wink mischief.

You didn't meet Julia so much as get drafted into her orbit. Once you were there... good luck getting out. Not that you'd ever want to.

Clients became friends. Friends became family. Family? Permanent.

She believed in people-- stubbornly, relentlessly, hilariously.

She believed in showing up, standing up, and speaking up -- especially for the underdog, the overlooked, or the underestimated.

And heaven help you if you came at any of her people sideways.
Around here we still say:
"Julia didn't hire talent -- she found souls."

"Julia didn't manage relationships -- she mothered them."

"Julia didn't build a company -- she built a family."

JKMG stands today because of Julia.

Not just in name. But in spirit.

Big-hearted.
Values-driven
Compassion-loud.
Wicked-smart.
And just a little sassy when the moment calls for it. (it usually does.)

Her fingerprints are on everything we do.
Her laugh is in the walls.
her legacy is forever om the way we treat people.

We miss her every single day.

But oh, how lucky we are...

That Julia was ours.
And Now... We Leave the Porch Light On.
JKMG was never just a company.

It was Julia's kitchen table in digital form -- full of conversation. laughter, strategy, the occasional hard truths... and always, always love.

With Julia gone, we've chosen not to keep the engine running just for the sake of it.

She built this place with heart. She built it for people. And when you lose the heart... sometimes the kindest, wisest thing you can do is to leave the porch light on... and let the house rest.
So that's what we're doing.
We're closing JKMG not because it failed-- but because it finished its most beautiful chapter.
It's story-- Julia's story-- lives on in every life she touched.
Including yours.
Including ours.
Especially ours.
(soft grin... the king that catches in the throat but never loses its warmth)
From all of us, still fiercely loving her, still fiercely loving you --
Thank you for being part of this family.
And if somewhere, somehow, you find yourself saying,
" I knew Julie..."
Just know...
You were one of the lucky ones.

Thank you, from all of us at The JKM Group.
